Chapter One
LONG DRIVES AND TOILET HUMOR

Friday - The tribe set out at 8 a.m. from Ellington, with Jeff and Kirk in one vehicle; Brad and Jon in another.

After a four-hour trip to northern New England, the tribe pulled into Fryeburg, Maine.

Disappointment greeted the Sacovivors, who learned of the demise of their ceremonial eatery...Frye's. The tribe was forced to forage for its first meal.

Discouraged but determined, the hungry tribe ambled into the Fryeburg Country Store.

"Turkey sandwich and a burn permit," Jon told the clerk.

At the store, Kirk and Jeff were pitted in their first tribal challenge...using the makeshift bathroom behind the building.

Both passed the challenge, although Jeff eluded that the REAL challenge laid with the subsequent users of the now-befowled facility.

After a satisfying lunch of grinders on the front porch, Jon erased some key letters from the ice cream menu on the building to create a new and quite unsavory ice cream flavor: 'Peanut Butt Fudge.'

It was obvious to the tribe that toilet humor was to dominate the weekend.

Burn permit in hand and food in their bellies, the tribe drove to Saco Bound to get their canoes, which they appropriately named Tagi and Pagong.

On to Chapter Two...
