July 2, 2006 - Work Day 12

After a full day working with concrete yesterday, I decided to switch gears and focus on the
stone dust, cutting the special pieces to merge the walkway to the patio, and laying some sod.

After cutting the blocks for the ends of the walkway, stone dust was swept into the walkway
to lock the "stones" in place.

The sod was cut around the "stones" of the walkway for a natural look.
A cheap seraded steak knife works great for cutting sod.

A view from the yard.

And a view from the deck. I had enough sod left to redo the section to the lower right.

By sunset, the upper and lower sections are sodded and the site is cleaned up.

This was one of those days where you really feel like you're making progress.

The upper section of sod blends in pretty well.
