June 24, 2006 - Status


You'll notice that this page is labeled "Status" and not "Work Day 11." That's because, for the second
straight weekend, the weather has been miserable. Constant rain has completely halted the project,
which really can't progress until the concrete walkways are finished...and that takes dry weather.

But progress is happening anyway...the sod has really taken, and it's almost ready for its first mowing.

With the patio project delayed, I used the opportunity to upgrade the cable lines and splitters in the house.

With the patio itself finished and the grass coming in, I'm really eager to get the project done. I still have
to cap the wall, finish the walkways, resurface the concrete wall, put in lighting and landscape.

Rick, my former neighbor, thinks the firepit looks like the Millenium Falcon. Hopefully I can get back
on the project next weekend. In the meantime, these aren't the droids you're looking for.
