With the walls smooth and clean, work today focused on priming.

Patches to the woodwork were primed, as well as the walls.

Once painted, the woodwork will look new again.

With the second coat of joint compound well-dried, the wallboard patches were sanded smooth.

Holes in the window casings were also filled, sanded and primed.

The wallboard patches are sanded and ready for primer.

And the wallboard patch disappears. These walls are primed and ready for the final paint color.

The communications lines -- phone and cable -- look like they've always been there.

One more room where wallpaper is just a distant memory.

Once the primer is dry, I will caulk all the mouldings. You can see the dark gaps along the bottom edge.

The caulk will make the woodwork seemlessly transition into the wall.
