The old green carpet is removed, and the padding is thoroughly vacuumed.

Just hours later, the new carpet is in, and the paint supplies return to prepare for wall color.

The blue dots on the wall mark the height of a chair rail that will be installed after the wall color goes up.

The laser level, mounted on a tripod, assisted in making the chair rail marks straight.

The walls are finally ready for paint.
