During the week, I was able to put a second coat of joint compound on the new wallboard around the
bookcase. With the second coat dry, it was time to sand and prime, which meant an opportunity to
knock out the foyer walls as well.

The walls were sanded a final time, after which the primer was applied.

The walls surrounding the bookcase are sanded and primed. Next up: trimming out the bookcase.
